I went to St Albans last Saturday to meet up with the Wednesday Crew.  I haven't seen most of them in over two years, so it was really nice to catch up.  It's not the easiest place to get to though, so I got the train to Surbiton then hitched a ride with Paul from there.

Spain won the Euros, which means I won the fantastic prize of Prosecco and a Chocolate Medal!  It's funny, when I drew the teams at the beginning of the tournament I thought I had no chance of winning cos Spain were my only decent team.  Just goes to show that you only need one!

I have set up various lights around the living room and it's a lot better than it was yesterday. Still not as good as having proper lights, but that's hardly surprising. I'm thinking we should decorate for Christmas sooner rather than later cos that should help too.

Our downstairs lights tripped this morning. No big deal, we think, just go and flip the switch back up and see which bulb has gone this time. But no, the breaker won't go back. So we call an electrician and he can come that afternoon. Great! He'll know what to do and be able to fix our problem so we have lights again by this evening ( Read more... )
